Steph and Tom love the Cornish coast…
They have walked the coast path from Porthtowan to St Agnes many times so when they discovered they could get married in a field on one of their favourite coastlines they couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Their wedding was seriously laid back if there was a theme; it was a mismatch of influences from their lives. No dress code, Cornish wildflowers, table runners from Thailand, and the place cards were hand-drawn pictures of their guests drawn by their niece and by the children they teach in Thailand.
On the day
Steph was set on a bohemian style dress, keen on lace and big floaty sleeves, her sister, Steph’s only bridesmaid, went for a bohemian look too. Steph carried a bouquet that incorporated dried lavender and wore a small flower crown with wild dried flowers.
A laid back delicious wedding BBQ
Their laid back personal approach to their planning reflected their personalities, so when it came to the wedding feast, they chose a delicious wedding BBQ. We served the bride and groom’s favourite foods on the menu, steak, chicken, salmon and halloumi with many different platters of salads and side dishes. Feasts like this are a great conversation starter, encouraging guests to interact as they pass around platters full of delicious food.
“Kerra and her team were excellently organised and very accommodating not only with the day changing but with all the guest’s dietary needs too. Yummy food, wish I had eaten more!”
Their day was captured perfectly by their photographer Carla of The Unbridled. Steph loved her work and how she captures the landscape and the sky. Those skies!!!
Most of their organising was done by email, FaceTime and Skype telephone calls from Thailand! Only needing to visit Cornwall a couple of times to meet with other suppliers and us so Steph and Tom would say don’t be put off by a location that isn’t near where you live and if you are planning out of country use eeek! to help plan your day.
