A colourful informal wedding at Hendra Barns.
Planning
Lauren and James married at Hendra Barns as soon as they saw the arbour by the lake they knew that was the place they wanted to get married. They chose to hire Hendra Barns for three days and had twenty guests staying with them in the house and the adjoining cottages.
On the day
Both bride and groom wanted to feel relaxed on the day and chose informal attire. Lauren wore a stunning French Connection dress, wanting to feel special, whilst also informal and the wedding dress she chose was perfect. The groom wore a collarless shirt, chinos and a succulent buttonhole complete with bell. Lauren carried a beautiful bouquet that she helped create the day before the wedding with best friend Lizi of Wheal Sara Flowers.
A BBQ Wedding Feast!
Following their exchanging of vows, the couple and their guests made their way to the wedding breakfast in the barn where they were treated to a BBQ Wedding Feast! Plenty of meat for the carnivores and many fantastic options for the vegetarians.
“The food was absolutely delicious, and all of our guests agreed. Kerra was brilliant from the beginning. Listened to exactly what we wanted and what she created was spot on. Her team that were there on the day were so lovely, friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who needs catering for their special day.”
It was an absolute pleasure to cater for Lauren and James, and their boho themed wedding was so colourful! Lauren mixed her love of arts and crafts and all things handmade to create the look she wanted. Flowers full of colour, fairy lights, hand-painted jam jars, macramé wedding curtains, plant-hangers, dreamcatchers, hand-written signage and invitations! Our BBQ sharing platters were the perfect choice for their day all captured by Wedding Photographer Cruz Photography
